Call for Applications for 2026 SME Candidates

We sincerely appreciate your continued support for the activities of our Society.
Aiming to cultivate professionals who study and apply pharmacokinetic theory, our Society launched a certification program (Japan Society for the Study of Pharmacokinetics Certified Subject Matter Expert, JSSX SME) starting in 2025.This certification system primarily targets regular members affiliated with companies or other organizations. It recognizes individuals who have consistently achieved research accomplishments or pursued advanced studies within the Society, granting them the JSSX SME title.
To apply as an SME candidate, applicants must satisfy both (1) and either (2) or (3) below.
- Have held continuous regular membership for at least three years at the time of application.
- A total of at least 4 points, calculated as follows: 2 points per oral or poster presentation as the first author at academic meetings hosted by the Japanese Society for Pharmacokinetics (annual meetings, short courses, and corporate young researcher exchange meetings); 1 point per presentation as a co-author.
- At least one publication as first author (including equally contributing authors) or corresponding author in journals published by the Japanese Society for Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics (DMPK and Newsletter) or in pharmacokinetics-related journals (limited to peer-reviewed journals).

Candidates who apply will undergo a preliminary review by the General Affairs Committee. The results of this preliminary review will be presented to the Board of Directors, and the title will be conferred based on the Board’s resolution.
